Information

Why did Jasmyn choose the Dutch Windmill as its landmark?

Windmills originated in Mediterranean countries, not just in Holland. The windmill has become a distinctive landmark for travelers. When building the Jasmyn complex, the owners chose this symbol as a tribute to their forefathers, who hailed from both Greece and Holland.

Who does Jasmyn's Gardens?

Jasmyn proudly cultivates its own gardens, meticulously maintained by our dedicated team of skilled staff.

Does Jasmyn use hormones or antibiotics on the milk cattle that could affect their dairy products?

Our dairy products are rigorously tested to ensure quality and safety. We do not use antibiotics on our milk-producing cattle. Antibiotics are administered only when an animal is severely ill and requires medical treatment. In such cases, the milk from these animals is excluded from all our dairy products and is not sold to the public.

Who operates the Windmill, Opstal, and Wafflehouse restaurants?

The restaurants at Jasmyn are not run by the Erasmus family. Instead, these establishments are leased and managed by the renowned Roodt family, who also operate the popular Kremetart Bistro in the area.

What is sold at Jasmyn?

Jasmyn offers a diverse selection of products, including a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, pre-cut veggies, health shop items, imported European goods, and products from our butchery, bakery, and confectionery. We also provide dairy farm products, nuts, jams, and feature a bookstore, gift shop, and restaurants.

Where do we source our fresh farm products?

Many of our vegetables are grown directly on the Jasmyn Farm by our sister company, Food Fair Pty Ltd. For produce not grown on-site, we source fresh vegetables and most of our fruit daily from the Tshwane Fresh Produce Market.
